Domaine d’activités :

Audiovisuel

Description :

Youth and seniors together learn how to use a video camera and lavalier microphone, set up lighting, compose a shot, and interview with the intention of capturing a narrative. Youth and seniors use video to build empathy with their collaboration partners. Youth and seniors collaboratively translate these skills into a video or New Media product that expresses the unique perspectives of, and about, the youth and seniors equally. The youth and seniors are introduced to editing software and work with their mentor to complete their video or New Media project. Online collaborative video-editing facilities are being developed to allow efficient use of resources. Youth emerge from the project with an increased sense of capacity and confidence. Seniors’ wellbeing benefits from a greater connection to youth, the very-real social benefit of having been seen, heard, and valued for who they are, and the experience of skill-acquisition together.
